Employee Spotlight: Lucia Manetti, Marketing Specialist & Gaming Nerd

Published on — Written by Wonderflow

Lucia Manetti

Part of our recent success and growth has been largely due to our people. In particular, if we had to pick another hard-working teammate for this month alone, let’s meet Lucia Manetti, our Marketing Specialist.

Lucia has held nearly six years of experience in the tech industry.  Funny enough, however, she graduated with a degree in the History of Art and one in Concept Art for Videogames. Afterward, she got her master’s in Digital Marketing. Lucia is also into martial arts, specifically Taekwondo, and electronic music. She spends most of her free time traveling, drawing on her iPad, and reading essays or poetry. Her favorite video game is reality.

1. Please describe a bit about your role, team, and how it all affects our customers and industry?

As the Marketing Specialist, I manage most of the marketing processes and coordinate relationships with different stakeholders and resources on various projects.

Data is nothing without information. We want customer feedback to have a key role in decision-making. The marketing team connects the product and the buyers. With our help in providing awareness, research, and sales support efforts, we hope to build and unleash the power of the Wonderflow brand.

I love to make things work. Generating use cases, interviews, and success stories with our clients is an important part of my job, and we share them so that more and more people will start using our technology to make their most impactful decisions.

2. How would your family or friends describe you in three words?

Honestly, most of my friends think I’m going to fail the Turing test…

3. What’s something that recently made you smile/laugh?

Recently, a homeless man called me “pel di carota” (carrot hair) in the train station for no reason and then disappeared.

4. What’s your dream job?

When I was younger, I wanted to be in the Finance Police. I suppose it was my dream job.

5. If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be?

Rabbits. Or money. Or both.

6. Would you rather be the funniest or smarter person in the room? Why?

I’d like to be the smartest clown in the room.

7. Who is your hero? Why?

Seto Kaiba, a competitively astute businessman and cut-throat investor from Yu-Gi-Oh. Because he was dramatically rich, psycho, and shady, he used to fly on a dragon-shaped private jet, and, most of all, he does not exist at all.

8. What do you pretend to hate but actually love?

The internet. It ruins our perception of and experience with reality and business and our personal life. But it also allows us to see the world differently and to connect with people on the opposite side of the world. If I should say I belong somewhere, I probably belong on the internet.

9. If you could give your past self advice, what would it be?

It’s 2010, so please buy Bitcoin now.

10. What’s your favorite GIF that you probably share often among your friends?
